We often think of climate change in terms of its effects on affluent countries.

However climate change is predicted to have devastating results for many developing nations, in particular for Vietnam.

Research suggests that up to 5 million people could potentially be displaced because of sea level rises.

This would severely damage the country’s economy, development and food production.

The University of Queensland has developed new and affordable sensor technology designed to measure the effects of climate change in developing nations.

This sensor technology is set to be deployed along the Mekong Delta by the beginning on 2015, as Anna Hartley reports.
