Students spent an afternoon interviewing Dr Philip Chamberlain and his students to create stories on the veterinary program connections between The University of Queensland and Nong Lam University.

The University of Queensland is using its veterinary curriculum to train a new generation of Vietnamese students at Nong Lam University.

The man behind the curriculum is Dr Philip Chamberlain, who grew up on a remote dairy farm in Gympie.

Dr Chamberlain is a passionate man loved by all of his students, who say they are progressing in leaps and bounds thanks to his guidance.

Students at Nong Lam University in Ho Chi Minh City are taught using a mixture of theory and practical training, learning about all creatures great and small.

Dr Chamberlain admits that teaching in Vietnam is a far cry from what he expected to do when he was a young boy in Gympie.
